Brethren,

I would like to thank the members that participated in our July Stated Communication.

Cabarrus Lodge will be holding a first degree on August 12th for Mr. Randy Cauthen. In the summer months many brothers are not in the area so we do experience fewer members at degrees; please try to attend so our newest member has a good first impression to remember.

Even though pricing has been reasonable for printing of the newsletter each month it is still costly to our Lodge once you add cost of labels and mailing, I will be switching to a quarterly newsletter. This will allow members that cannot participate to be informed and at the same time reduce our expense for the year. I recommend to brothers that would like to have current information to utilize our web site or contact a Lodge officer for upcoming event.

Since being raised in 2004, I have witnessed many brothers join the fraternity and not participate on a regular basis along with many members of our lodge that have been here prior to me. I would like to try to encourage greater participation from our members and try to understand if there something as a Lodge we are not doing to keep your interest. Only way I can do this is to hear from you so we can try to implement everything possible to encourage participation in the future among our members.
